Lotsa Pictures

Since I have uploaded most of these to Facebook, I guess I just thought I'd uploaded them here, too... but, alas, I have not. So, if you're uninterested or they may be too painful, please don't feel bad for skipping this post.

Thanks so much for all the wonderful comments. We were kind of surprised there was only one little one, too, due to the higher betas. W/out voicing that opinion, the doctor started out with mentioning there could be one due to the higher betas & then during the ultrasound even said that maybe we had 2 implant @ first & lost the second. Kind of upsetting to hear that, but I'm trying to not to wonder what I may have done wrong. I know it's probably not like that, it's usually some sort genetic thing.

{We had to head to Jax for our final monitoring appt & needed to stay overnight before. Here's Nick mixing the stuff up.}

No Words Can Describe...

I caved...

We're 10dp3dt or 3w6d along.

I was flipping out. Called Nick. Freaked him out.

Was heading to my Mom's anyways, so I decided to tell her in person. We both cried. She pulled out all these baby & maternity clothes she's bought & saved for me.

I know there's many more milestones for us to pass, but I'm just relishing in the fact that RIGHT NOW... we're pregnant!

Oh, because my Mom didn't trust the Dollar Tree test, here's an EPT. We're saving the digital one for Wednesday!!

We're telling close friends & family! Kari & JJ... don't have my phone with me or I would have already sent the texts messages! :)

We know we are SOO blessed right now & are praying that we will meet this little one in 8-9 months. Thanks for all your support!

Trigga Tonight

10pm is our trigger time.

A couple of shots from this week... discovered my little point & shoot has a B&W option, so I tried it.

Stim day8:
Stim day9, at the hotel night before our last monitoring appt:

We took our Christmas pics this morning & a cropped version of this photo made it on our card this year. Just thought I'd include it:

It's always funny to figure out how to get 3 dogs + us in the frame with the self-timer, so adding the cat made it even better! I think we laughed & yelled at each other the whole time! Crazy! :) Next year, I hope we add another human to the mix...

Don't we all... :)

Photo Journey Through IVF

Since I'm somewhat curious (obsessed? hopeful? passing the time?) about others during their pre-positive IVF cycles, I came across this one:

"Kodak Moments" by JJ.

And it got me thinking. I've planned on doing photos during the cycle. I've also not done many things I have planned to do so far this cycle. Since our kitchen has been in "redo" mode for exactly 4 wks now, my life has been a little more scrambled at home than I had planned.

Like a cleared out, completely organized house with a place specially dedicated to the IVF meds. Christmas decorations up, gifts all shopped for & wrapped. Hmm, some of those things are done... okay, only part of the gifts are done! LOL

So, I really want to make sure to keep on top of the photos thing. Of course it will be nicer if this is a successful cycle, but I am pretty sure I will want these pictures even if it's not. I want to be able to see what we went through. To remember as much of it as possible. I have a nicer dSLR & a P&S. The little one goes with me everywhere, but the dSLR has a very special place in my heart. And now, it will have a special place beside my meds.

I doubt I will do many face shots, but more of the actual process. I searched through flickr & here are some that caught my eye.

I guess this can serve as a heads up, since I will probably be posting pics on the blog. One day, my dream is that this blog will be turned into the introductory part of a baby book. I want to respect & nurture that dream as much as possible since it's all I have right now.

I also realized that today will be my last shot-free day for 5 weeks, at least... hopefully more like 12 or 13 weeks. Again, my dream.

I really am amazed at how this year has flown by, from the point where Nick agreed to meet with the RE, to deciding & being okay with IVF, to becoming excited about IVF, to starting in less than a week... It's extremely surreal.
